Over recent decades, an increasing number of anthropology graduates have found employment in the Danish business world, just as anthropologists have played a central role in several new start-ups. Drawing on my involvement in various public-private partnerships and other collaborations with these companies, as well as on recent research conducted by some of my colleagues at UCPH, this talk chronicles this development and situates it within ongoing debates concerning the relationship between basic and applied research and the role of universities in late capitalist societies.
