Dear members of National Taiwan University,

　We would like to express our deepest condolences to the victims of the earthquake that struck the eastern part of Taiwan.
　We would also like to express our deepest sympathies to all those who have been affected by the earthquake, as well as to all those concerned.

　Taiwan and the Graduate School of Human Sciences at Osaka University have had a variety of educational and research relationships in the past. We have entered into interdepartmental academic exchange agreements with National Taiwan University, including the College of Social Sciences, the College of Public Health, and the College of Science.
　We are deeply saddened by this disaster, which occurred just as we are planning for further exchanges in the future.

　 We sincerely hope that you will soon be able to return to a state of ease and comfort.
