Educational Policy and Administration

Research Topics
■ Comparative study of education policy or system among Japan, EU, and US; research on educational attainment among social class, ethnic, language, religious or sexual minority

Our program welcomes students who are interested in Japanese and foreign educational systems and education policy. Specifically, the globalization of the Japanese society has become an urgent challenge in the educational profession, necessitating the reexamination of the post-war education system. What does an education system or education policy look like if it must embrace not only foreigners but also children who grow up in a foreign culture regardless of their nationality? We welcome students who are interested in conducting comparative studies using advanced regions that have long been engaging with such issues.
